Bed

I'm going through one of those periods where work is just full on, all day. It happens periodically, usually fairly short lived, but at the moment I can't see a way out of this particular mire.  Legislative projects are like that and this one is particularly complex and will be very expensive. In all reality we have no chance of delivering it and are hoping it gets delayed. If it doesn't we're fairly screwed (technical term) and will have to take some drastic decisions

Outside of that, I'm off for a couple of days from Friday, walking round North Cornwall. It will be lovely when I get there, I could just do without going straight from that into a two day conference with my senior Exec. I'm meeting a friend in Exeter on the way, someone I've known since I was five. We started infants school together and have stayed friends ever since, across oceans, marriages, divorces and life in general. I grew up in a gaggle of boys and H was probably the first female my own age I ever met.  She recently moved back to the UK, although we always met up when she visited, and I'm looking forward to catching up.

I was out tonight with some lovely friends on my WI Committee, planning the next few meetings. We all have our own things going on in life and it's good to be with people who aren't work related.

Now I just need to persuade the (not so) Stupid Ginger Cat  to come out from under the bed, to go to his bed. It's not looking promising.
