Warwick

I had an appointment at the Cardiac dept of Warwick Hospital this afternoon.   I thought it was just a routine, regular heat check but in fact it turned out to be a Post Op meeting for the procedure to replace the battery in my pacemaker.  This involves taking the 'old' pacemaker out, after disconnecting the wires, and putting a new one in its place reattaching to the present wires.  So pretty straightforward really!

I have had my current device for just over eight years, it apparently has one month, plus reserve, of power left in the battery, so time for a new one.

I've been given a date for the op as 23rd November 11am.  

In other news: our friends Nicola and Stewart came for a coffee morning visit.
