Apple Time
We have spent several hours washing, chopping, crushing and pressing apples in to juice today. The harvest is the best yet, which is something of a surprise as Tony expected it to be a low yield year. We actually stopped production at tea time because we had had enough with a sack still to go. They will have to wait awhile.
The varieties are Adam's Pearmain and Egremont Russets, from trees given to Tony by our Jen as birthday/Christmas presents several years ago - good presents Jen!
I ran out of freezer space so several of the neighbours will be in receipt of bottles tomorrow.
