Those autumn leaves.....

Went to the gym for an hour this morning. Not been for 2 months - partly due to sciatica but more to do with Covid spread and wanting to have had my booster first.
Dismayed to find so many machines out of order. Some supposedly in working order were not fit to use as no back rests - so you'd be rubbing your back on metal and leaning too far back. 
People in the gym were telling me the same machines have been broken for weeks on end. 
Managed to get some washing dry outside but it felt bitter cold today.
Have been clearing leaves again. The avenue is full of them as the council workers have not been with their machines to clear any.  Every year the grids are blocked so the road floods in places and every year this could be avoided if they cleared the leaves! 
We pay a fee to the council to empty our garden waste bins and 95% of what is in ours is leaves that the council should have cleared from the avenue!
