Wednesday
The only photo I've taken today, with my phone at the briefing before the start of the cross-country run on Mousehold Heath. A good route through the woods, proving yet again that Norfolk is NOT flat. The plan was to take some views of the area afterwards, but the skies darkened & the heavens opened, leaving us rushing back to our cars.
Mousehold Heath, Norwich, will be familiar to those interested in the history of Norfolk, & to readers of C J Sansom's book "Tombland" in the Shardlake series, as the site of the encampment for the 1549 rebellion led by Robert Kett. Today it's an attractive area of woodland which the city has grown around.
