Minga Indigena

Today a lot of the activity outside COP26 centred on the small indigenous communities around the world who were trying to make their voice heard.  They are the least responsible people in the world for causing the climate emergency, but often they are the ones who suffer most from it.  They are from places like Alaska, Patagonia, Amazonia, and Panama.

Today they got the chance to speak (through interpreters) .  They unveiled a huge tapestry (one of the Extras) and spoke about the hidden meanings in it.  They also demonstrated some of their traditions.  Nice gentle people - it was a pleasure to see and listen to them
