A Monumental Day
Ah, first day of the Easter holidays, I remember it well.
I think. Maybe not.
School holidays were always fun, it's like a whole two weeks of playtime.
So today a trip to Stirling to rescue a princess from the castle was on the agenda.
Miss K and I set of Glasgow bound this morning, still unsure of what to do today, by the time we got there Stirling was the destination to go to. I hadn't been there since I was a boy.
It wasn't the warmest day to be out and about, but even the hail shower didn't take away from a fun day, recalling memories and making new ones.
The only disapointment was finding out the Old Town Jail is now closed with no sign of re-opening. I can only guess the funding isn't there in the budget this year, which is a shame, it's one of those places made for childhood memories. Here's hoping it opens back up soon.
I took quite a few photos today, the majority of which were horribly over exposed, as I hadn't bothered to adjust my setings on the camera.
And I did manage to rescue the princess, but alas my brother will forever be locked in the jail until they start selling tickets to get in again.
(Who needs history plaques when you can make up your own?)
