A walk in the woods

A wander up the banks of the river Garry today. Spectacular autumn colour in the trees and an incredible array of fungi.

This one is a Fly agaric (I think?). The texture of the cap is amazing, like glazed ceramic with little tough flecks. No little people in sight though, just a very fat slug who seemed to have eaten a huge slice of the cap. Wonder if it has the same hallucinogenic effect on slugs and this one is now hanging out with Cheshire cats and giant caterpillars.
