Double the Fun

Our girls are getting a little long in the teeth. Yes, its true, hens have teeth (if only in age…!). They have been rather slack in their laying recently, only giving us between 1 and 3 eggs a day between the 9 of them. This one no doubt made one of their eyes water; it was huge and today I ate it. A double-yolker is a nice surprise at this point in their lives as it normally only happens with the very young chickens when their laying mechanism is settling down. Maybe one of them is coming back online! We’ll see. Delicious.
