resting my head....

So this morning I watched this lovely big bull elephant crossing the luangwa river.  He came up out of the water just beside the vehicle I was in and started climbing the bank.  Then he plopped his head on top of the bank and just rested for some minutes before he came right up beside us and started covering himself in dust!  An amazing experience as he was so close and was quite enormous!

Left to go back to Lusaka this evening - a tiny plane with no door to the cockpit so I was able to watch the pilot for the whole journey.  Was a bit bumpy at times due to a couple of thunderstorms but a good flight and arrived home safely!
