Autumn is my colour
A beautiful autumn day today, sunny with bright skies - but by the afternoon it was rather cold. I took Xena to The Ledges today for a walk as the autumn colours are usually so good there, and they did not disappoint. It is a part of the common that lies above the street level and then drops right down from 'the ledge' to the river - the river was quite flooded and many trees have washed down too.
After the walk I came home and did some Christmas shopping online. It took ages, although you save time not driving to the shops it does take time to check the products carefully before you buy, I always check reviews and ensure the size is correct. Gavin once broke my favourite Le Creuset casserole dish, and so went online to replace it - he is not used to shopping online so it looked the same in the image, but when it arrived it wasn't the 3 litre dish I was expecting but rather was a 250ml individual portion dish that was quite useless really- so it pays to check the details correctly!
I was planning on going out again in the afternoon but despite being sunny it felt so cold, so those plans were abandoned.
Luke has now finished his exams! Although no more exams (assuming he has passed) he still has to complete his 3 year training period before he is qualified, so that will be next summer. Meriel has organised a dinner tomorrow night to celebrate so we are looking forward to that.
