Autumn sun

A quick snap on the way back from the post office this morning.  I nipped up there to post my sister's birthday present (a hanging disco ball planter, which I'm hoping she'll love), before we got packed up to drive to Shropshire. 

We set out after lunch, and had a pretty good drive (apart from the first bit through the Blackwall Tunnel - always slow through there).  Arrived at the Newport Premier Inn a little after 5pm; checked in, got changed and popped over to Tim's Mum's for a few hours.  His youngest sister and his brother and nephews were there, too, and his brother kindly treated us to a Chinese takeaway for dinner.  So lovely to see them all again after two years! 

We headed back to the hotel around 9pm for a restful evening.
