Project 365 day 303: After the rain
Back-blipping Saturday's photo - which failed to upload on Sunday, losing all my writing, so this is just a quick catch-up.
Saturday was very wet. We drove J to Canterbury for her MRI scan in light rain, but by the time we returned a couple of hours later the valley road was awash with huge puddles expanding and merging into small floods. It continued until late afternoon, when I suddenly became aware that the sky had lightened and went outside to empty the kitchen compost bin and photograph the watery sun on the side of the Downs.
A few weeks ago the large field was freshly ploughed and rich brown, speckled with seagulls. Now it's greening again as the winter wheat emerges. I love watching the changing colours of this landscape.
