Pop Art

This is the Black and White corridor at the back of the debating chamber in Parliament. It is so-called because in our temporary home in the General Assembly building there was a long Black and White corridor which became the favoured hangout for the broadcasters with their cameras. Even though we only used that space for a few years MSPs became very fond of it and wanted some reflection of it in the new building.

The result was this rather Escher-like flooring, an effect which is more apparent in the photograph than in real life.

It also reminded me of the fashions of the 1960s. I'm sure I had a dress in a very similar pattern!!
