Wellness Walk, Millom

A smaller group this week, to be expected.
But.
And this is key... a much more engaged group. I started & facitated some conversation, but slowly they took over, got to know each other. The young lad who said he'd only come to the end of the lane decided to stay and went the whole way. The lady who planned to hang back and didn't want to talk told us a joke. They took pictures, humoured me about fungi and lichen. Slowly I faded into the background, made sure there were chocolates when the rain hit.
Millom's a tough place with its own unique (& not so) problems, but there's also a lot of beauty to be found, history to appreciate and huge potential to be celebrated.
I could just as easily be talking about the people who live there.
