Oystercatcher or Not???

These birds appear around where we live each Spring and are very good at deterring walkers away from their young, by hopping along the dry stone walls and making a very distinct noise.

I'm not certain but am pretty confident that they are Oystercatchers that live on the coast during the winter (eating Oysters), breed inland and then produce young in the Spring.

This one took flight from the reservoir bank just as we were out on our walk this morning.
