Rain in the night…

turned the rivers and burns into raging torrents, but by midday any flooding had subsided. When I reached the footbridge here I was disappointed to find the gate padlocked. Still, the walking was good. On the moorland everything glowed orange.
There were lots of squirrels scampering about collecting the hazelnuts, Pheasant, hiding from the guns, Partridge, Fieldfares and the first Redwings this year.
A lovely calm afternoon and evening for another walk in the woods.
