Hawick XC

Today I drove South into the borders for the first fixture of the Scotland East District XC League. There were worries it would be called off given the recent heavy rain had caused flooding in the town. The organiser had promised though that the car parking field was in good condition and it would be fine as his prediction was correct. 

It was held Hawick race course. I'm not sure how used it s, my guess is not very. Anyway it was a great venue for XC. The ground was very soft and muddy though and I found it hard going.

Here Edinburgh based K is doing well in the women's race
