It is that time of year when restaurants are offering duck and goose on the menu. We booked at the local restaurant on the lake for roast leg of duck with red cabbage and potato dumplings. (See extra). It was very good. We then went to friends who live near the lake for coffee. I took some photos of the lake, unfortunately the sun behind the trees took the colour away. It doesn’t matter as I love this view and it is where I took my very first blip. My English friend came over in the evening as she had kindly picked up some quinces for me from the market in Vienna. We tried out the locally distilled gin that I bought last week accompanied by Manchego cheese and quince paste. Delicious.
