Not quite…

We received an early New Home card from my aunt - she got in early as we are not moving for a couple of weeks!  It was waiting at the other house.  We went over for a number of hours yesterday and worked very hard putting furniture, ornaments and drawers back in their right places.  It was the first time son and I had seen the new flooring and it looks great - carpet in the bedroom is really luxurious and the vinyl flooring downstairs looks very smart.  They have removed the doorsteps and taken the flooring right through from the hall into the living and dining rooms - looks very swish.  There are big gaps under the doors, but it doesn’t matter as we will be replacing those before too long (they are rather naff 70’s doors, just plain wood veneer and no solidity to them.  We have heavy wood doors here and I have to remember how light the other doors are as they slam easily!)

I seem to keep giving yesterday’s news!  We just stayed in today, watched our church service online (great) and watched a  performance by Alistair Griffin on FB (also great).
