Foggy day

Stopped for a blip on the way back from the shop. Today's project was to make some parkin. I haven't made or even eaten parkin for many years, and it's impossible to find oatmeal here. At least I had some treacle, but I had to use oat bran as a substitute for oatmeal and I'm not convinced it's worked that well. Isn't parkin supposed to be a bit soggy? I've wrapped it up and put it in a tin, hoping it will improve with age. If it is a disaster, at least I have time to make something else. Apart from that, a quiet day at home, fire lit, not inspired to go for a walk. I finished the not very good book we are reading for my English book group.

Forgot to mention yesterday that I got a speeding ticket for the first time ever in 40 years of driving. Officially 82 kph in an 80 zone. Go me!
