ON TRACK

Sadly it is time to say farewell to the mechanical semaphore signals at Bridlington as new track is being laid and electronic signals installed. Altogether, 1.2km of track has been upgraded. In the Bridlington South Signal Box, the 65-lever mechanical signalling frame has been replaced by an electronic control panel . . . aaargh . . . and they call it progress.
