Leaf allsorts
It was absolutely foul weather when I woke up this morning, lashing rain and the wind was blowing a hoolie. I knew Xena would not want to step outside in such weather. It was still like this after breakfast so Gavin offered to take Xena for a walk by himself, leaving me dry and warm at home - although I was changing bedding, and washing and ironing it so it was a productive morning.
By lunchtime it has calmed down and the sun was out again. Gavin planted some bulbs we had bought, not sure why we bother as the squirrels always dig them up, but fingers crossed most of them survive this time. I wandered around the garden collecting some leaves to make this collage.
In the afternoon we went for a walk around our neighbourhood with Xena, some houses do go OTT with Halloween decorations, more than at Christmas time - when my children were young it was not such a popular event as it is now.
Luke has been studying all weekend (and more) as tomorrow and on Tuesday he writes his final exams to qualify as a Chartered Accountant. It will be a relief for him not to be studying and writing exams anymore, it has been many years studying throughout school, university and now this.
