A Meandering Life...

The River Runs Through...

A very, very wet start today. Even so I thought we'd drive up to the lookout at Square Corner on the North York Moors. It is a crossroads of the Cleveland Way and a number of cycle routes. When we arrived the sun was behind a thick low cloud and rain filled the air. Ideal to put the kettle on and have a cuppa.

As soon as the sun broke through the clouds other cars and vans arrived, more energetic folk than us donning on walking boots or preparing mountain bikes. I broke out the biscuits.

My Blip is looking from the spot down at the Vale of Mowbray and the Yorkshire Dales in the distance. The water is run-off from the road. A number of spots along the road was under water but nothing my van couldn't cope with, ideal to wash the tyres. I just wouldn't want to be on a bike or walking through some of it.
