My Babes are All Grown Up

Sunny and mild all day. What a pleasure to look out and see sunshine after the storm. We almost overslept for hubby’s 10:00 am meds. The lack of sleep finally caught up with us. We’ve both had a ton of energy today though and I believe his pain is becoming more bearable daily. Thank you Lord. Hubby completed his exercise routines, has taken several walks around the house and even worked on Knights’ business. I put away stuff that has accumulated since his surgery and washed bed lines. The house looks in order again. We decided to attend Mass virtually this evening. So glad they are still broadcasting it; some folks are worried about the delta strain being so contagious. We are so fortunate compared to the damage others had. The pictures on line are unbelievable. This type of damage is not covered by insurance. There was much joy this afternoon. My oldest grandson knew we could not come over to see him off for homecoming, so he and his sweet girlfriend came to us. The note he sent me about their visit brought a tear. He was my first “Grammy’s Day Care” attendee, two weeks after I retired from civil service. It seems impossible that he is in high school. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe folks. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. "Your children are your rainbows and your grandsons are your pot of gold." - Irish Proverb
