San Francisco By Night

Well, maybe not quite by night - this was taken just before 7am, and the sun was coming up. But I had been awake for about 4 hours and was just going back to bed for another couple of hours. This seems to be my new routine and it seems to work for me. The layover isn’t really long enough to do much so I try to sleep when I can.

By mid morning I was awake again and eventually went out for something to eat. It was a beautiful day - hot even! I wasn’t really prepared for summer as last week was quite chilly. But even though overdressed, I decided to get a bagel sandwich and had a picnic lunch in the nearby park. San Francisco is often grey and chilly so I couldn’t bear being inside a restaurant on such a sunny, warm day!

It would have been nice to stay all afternoon in the park but it was soon time to get back to the hotel, shower, and head back to the airport for my return trip to London.
