On the edge of the Pentlands....

These are our lovely Pentland Hills - Caerketton Crags dead ahead, Allermuir behind, and from there the hills stretch far including Army Ranges, reservoirs with sunken churches, prehistoric settlements and great natural beauty. lookabootye blipper runs up and down these with shaming ease, and sends us all lovely photos.

Down to the left is the Hillend Ski Centre with its artificial ski runs. I was wondering, because I have no clue, whether you can still ski on the artificial runs when they are covered with snow? You will understand this is only a hypothetical enquiry!
