Home and dry
I really didn’t want to get up this morning; not the best nights sleep so I would have cheerfully rolled over (carefully!) for another couple of hours kip.
The venue for the course was only a 6 minute drive away, so I was the first there at just after 9am.
The course was great! I felt better knowing that the others on the course (5 of whom only qualified 3 years ago), felt the same lack of confidence as me.
I was also pleased that many of the tips and tricks she suggested, I already do.
After lunch, it was time to put into practice what we had learned and give each other some anaesthetic.
The tutor was on hand to guide us through and supervise, so we all did exactly as we had been told.
Although we only gave a quarter of a cartridge, it was enough to numb half the face and tongue; such a weird sensation but necessary to know how it should feel on both the giving and receiving ends of the syringe.
Happily, we finished by 4pm and traffic was once again kind so I was home in 90 minutes.
Mr A was just putting the finishing touches to the new path; with the pop up gazebo for shelter. Nothing stops this man when he has an idea!
He’s added the path for the postman rather than us. Since he bought black Betty (the van), there’s less room on the drive so visitors have to squeeze up the side of the van or walk on the garden to get up to the house.
He’s done a fab job as always and says better to spend a few quid on materials for the path than pay for a paint job on the van when it gets scratched ;-)
