Bamburgh Castle; Blue Sky

Our first view of the castle, as we drove into the village from the coast road on our return to Bamburgh. We had a slow lazy day, but the main essential task was to do a dsuoemarket shop. So we drove to Morpeth where we began with a coffee. It rained all morning, so we browsed the shops but had no luck in White Stuff where Jon had hoped to buy a waistcoat. As usual they had a tiny men's section. (Jon correctly said it was the size if a cupboard) so we ordered it online when we got back, I'm order to benefit from the 20% discount.

After coffee and browsing we went to Morrisons, and after that we drove along the coast road where we parked up and ate some late lunch bits by the sea. We had a nice drive spotting castles - 3 including Bamburgh. There will be more Bamburgh Castle blips to come, which will be better than this one. It is hugely impactful as you drive towards it from this side.

Home and felt shattered. Kettle on a shopping away, then we caught up with last week's Bake Off. I dozed a bit. Tomorrow we are just staying in to properly recharge our batteries and hope to get a nice walk if it isn't too wet.

Now it's Strictly, and then I'll be heading for another early night!
