Short trip.......

.....out!  Minehead, through the traffic lights at Carhampton which are causing long tailbacks, going was okay really but the queues to go back were horrendous.  We took an alternative route via Nutcombe Bottom and over the hills to Luxborough.  On a whim we stopped at The Royal Oak and had some soup for lunch (tomato, coconut and dhal - delicious) and there were fresh roses on the table!  Unfortunately though the atmosphere in this great old pub has significantly changed......not quite sure why but it has.
