Transhumance

It is that time of year again. M. Montagne's cows come down off the high plateau to spend the winter in the village. I am always alerted to them a long way off by the tinkling bells. I played tennis early this morning and expected it to be colder than it was. Our return to the UK has been further delayed. I ordered a Renault Clio early in July and was told it would arrive in September or October. Now I understand it will be built at the factory on November 5th and not arrive until December. It is a bit frustrating but the delay is due to world wide shortages of computer chips. At least the price has been agreed on the trade in so I can just keep putting the miles on it.
