Cromarty

The first night in a yurt was pretty chilly as we had been out for dinner, but we soon cosied up under the blankets.

I really enjoyed lighting the fire this morning, and was chuffed that I managed it with one match and one piece of newspaper. Then I watched it from my bed as the yurt warmed, and the children stirred.

We visited lovely Cromarty today, and mainly just pottered about. Nice to see so much personality reflected in each house. Bags of character. Lovely deep window sills displaying all kinds of curio.

A few car problems, but we made it back and I decided to give the chanterelles a go at dinner. There was no shortage of them in the wood.
