Reclaiming his territory

Thank you for helping my beleaguered tulip into the Spotlight yesterday. It is so appreciated, friends.

Especially for Jane, I'm featuring my little gnome today. As you can see, he is gradually getting his garden back from the snowdrifts.

I'm not a gnome person, but this battered chap was under a rather overgrown flowerbed when I moved in. He'd been here longer than me, and I didn't like to dislodge him, so he lives next to a stone plastic from Sainsbury's pagoda and keeps an eye on the ladybirds when there are any and Cyd of course.

Enjoy your holiday, everyone, and I hope you're all happier than the grumpy assistant in John Lewis, Tamworth, who refused to replace my six month old stick blender on the grounds that I'd lost the mixing jug tatty plastic that originally went with it. Or the cold-calling Status rep who actually shouted at me when I told her I didn't want any more calls !
