Great excitement! A new café has opened in the next village.
 
It's in a beautiful, light, airy, newly constructed building; the coffee is excellent, (beans delivered twice a week by the Orkney Roastery) and the cakes are exceptional. On top of all this, the proprietor is genuinely friendly and welcoming and is so obviously taking pride and pleasure in the success of this new business.

I will definitely be a regular visitor.
