Wound up in Wexford

Sunrise

We were up and out of the house quite early - I stopped just a mile or so down the road to take a photo of the colourful sunrise.  Don't know if the morning red sky lived up to its promise in Norfolk, but we certainly found some wet weather.  Perhaps getting us accustomed, so we don't expect too much whilst in Ireland?

Apart from the rain, an uneventful journey across the country - we need not have got up quite so early.  We're staying the night a short distance from Fishguard.  We chose the hotel partly because their website says they have a restaurant, but there was no sign of it when we checked in this evening, and when we asked about food the owner?manager? was quite offhand.

So we had to go out again in the rain.  We're in a little village, so there was nowhere within walking distance, but we found a rather nice pub about a mile and a half (would be walkable in fine weather and on a light summer evening, but not in the rain down an unlit narrow road!) down the road, and enjoyed a lovely dinner.
