Bulb planting

We went to a nearby garden nursery with one of the local groups I'm in for a workshop on planting up bulbs. We did two pots each - one to keep and one to pass on to someone in the community come the New Year. 

I was surprised that unlike bulb planting in garden these ones could be densely packed.  We also learned about "lasagne layering" where you plant different bulbs at different layers with the latest blooming ones at the bottom. They also tend to be the bigger bulbs. This gives a longer lasting display. I may give it a go.
