The rains came down and the floods came up ……

……. at least they did in Pollok Park. The White Cart had burst its banks and was flowing at great speed ….. no dogs in swimming, or retrieving a ball today.

The dahlia bed has been looking rather battered for a week or so with many of the big blooms just lying on the earth. The gardeners were very busy clearing the plot and saving any flowers that still ‘looked good’. These flowers the put on the picnic bench and anyone who wanted them was welcome to help themselves. I didn’t have a freehand, dog lead in one hand and a coffee in the other so no flowers.
