The Little Grey Men

This morning we followed a trail of these gnomes. The trail was constructed in honour of BB ( Denys Wilkins - Pitchford) the author of the children’s book ‘The Little Grey Men‘. It was set in the English countryside during three seasons of the year and it featured the adventures of four gnomes who were supposedly the last of their race. The author was born In Lamport near the old railway station we visited yesterday and in 1942 he won the Carnegie Medal for the best children’s book of the year.
