Angels One Five

The first cycle of the year, and running on one flipper, and my choice of shorts was not the best I've made in the current cold conditions !

This is the tail of Spitfire K-998 QJ-K of 92 Squadron Biggin hill flown by Plt Off G A Wellum DFC from Biggin Hill in the Battle of Britain.

It stands as a gate guardian at Biggin Hill RAF station, which is no longer operational.
