Boxelder Bug

...so named because it feeds by sucking sap from leaves, tender twigs and developing seeds of Boxelder trees.  I think they are considering overwintering in our garage because we've seen a lot of them around the doors.  Better there than in the house!  We don't have a Boxelder tree but our neighbor does and he shares them with us. ;-)  This will probably be my last bug blip until spring so I wanted to include it for Wild Wednesday.

Today was Piper's "spa day".  Every time we take her in for grooming, it's a little harder to coax her to go inside.  Today we got her in the front door and then she sat and refused to move.  I finally had to use my "mom voice" and she walked in with me but she was not a happy camper.  It makes us feel so bad to leave her there when she's so reluctant to go in, but they always tell us that she's well behaved for them.  Anyway, she survived her grooming and was very happy when we picked her up.  She's so soft and looks and smells so good!   I invited her to be my Blipstar today but she wasn't interested.  Maybe tomorrow...

I am grateful that tomorrow will be a spa day for me!  No grooming will be involved but I will get a lovely massage. :-)
