Not sure if this is a good idea, mom

In the 4 years of his life, Alex has never had the opportunity to dye Easter Eggs due to his anaphylactic allergy to eggs. Today, we thought we would glove-up and give it a shot. After taking this picture, I swore I would delete it if anything went wrong, as to me, it just screams "I don't think we should be doing this, mom" and I couldn't live with myself if anyone saw evidence of the cautioned look he gave me before we started. Luckily we only had a minor splash incident that was handled without the aid of Benadryl and we were able to dye our dozen. Coolest thing I got to hear from Alex today was when he first picked up an egg, looked at me with huge eyes and said "mom, this is the first time I've ever held an egg!" Little bits of normalcy in a life of allergy-induced restrictions is definitely worthy of the excitement Alex had today.
