A Meeting of Minds

Phil and I had such a great time this afternoon at a Blip meet with local blippers May May (CelloNerd) and Ann (ArtistAnnie) and her non-blipping delightful husband Arvin, and from Portland, Oregon, Terri (Scoots, Shoots & Leaves) and Laurie (LTLT), who were in the area visiting relatives.

We met at the Bellwether Hotel on beautiful Bellingham Bay, where we first had a guided tour by Ann of the 14 beautiful paintings she has on display there, and then enjoyed delicious Happy Hour "small plates" and the hotel's warm hospitality.

This captures the mood of the gathering (Terri in the foreground, May May laughing at one of Arvin's jokes), and here is Ann beside one of her evocative paintings of local scenes. Today's photo shows Laurie enjoying writing with Arvin's fine Italian fountain pen, while Terri captures the moment and Ann checks her last shot.

Our conversations were wide-ranging and lively -- books, travel, food, brain development, music, technology, games, visual/auditory learning, knitting, computers, the past, the future, the present, and of course, photography and Blipfoto!

Ann took a lovely photo of the group -- thank you, blip buddy! -- and Phil caught an action shot of sorts. CelloNerd has another view of the snap-happy group, and TerriG opted for a classic food shot that I love!
