Numismatist Mysteries

I'm considering adding "numismatist" to my long list of hobbies and skills. I know nothing whatsoever about coins, but apparently the criteria are simply that you collect coins, and study them. Well, I'm often accumulating shrapnel in the pocket, and I seem to spend inordinate amounts of time examining them to work out if there's enough for a sandwich or a bottle of beer there, so I reckon that's me in. You have a new numismatist on your hands.

(On a side note, I wonder if it's worth a recruitment drive for feminist coin-collectors, in the hope of finding a new Ms Numismatist?)
