Wide Wednesday

The theme is “single subject” so I will enter my single lamp post. These were originally gas lamps back in the 1800s and a few of our streets have them all down the middle of the road. There is a variety of architectural styles in this shot, some more attractive than others. Bathurst is the oldest inland city in Australia 200km inland from Sydney. It grew quickly during the gold rush and now is a centre for farming, industry education and many other businesses associated with a city of this size. Our population is about 45,000.

I decided to go back and see what could be done with my new glasses. The reading part of the bifocals is too narrow and low and they are making me a new set of lenses. Yay.

We had an unexpected visit from Nina and kids. Maddy (12) had her second Covid jab so they took the opportunity to pop in for a cuppa.
