Bold

Spent a long morning in online meetings….with Paisley sitting by my side when she wasn’t pacing around the house. Not sure why she paces around …not used to it from Heston’s behaviour who seems to just play or sleep.
The afternoon held a couple of catch up meetings where we discussed the next horrors emerging from the broken system then I walked over through the gardens (full of squirrels!) to meet NP for an induction meeting about the board we’re both on, but it turned into a mentoring chat and hearing about the quite serious Covid effects she suffered last year (and still isn’t properly recovered). We had a good chat and it buoyed me up a bit as I walked over through the very blustery wind to meet AB for a drink. Is a couple of years since I last saw him (in Canada) and he’s now moved back to the UK. Despite not knowing him very well we had a really nice catch up and very wide ranging chat about all sorts to do with the sector, family, plans and mutual friends.
Home and found A&N had gone out for dinner so I had a quiet evening watching Bake Off and planning for the rest of the week….lots of reading to be done.
It’s been a slightly odd but good day…the meetings at the end were very upbeat and went some way to erasing the effect of the earlier sessions and my reflections on some people’s bad behaviours. Wasn't late to bed but it the wind was so noisy outside it was hard to get to sleep!
