Autumn shades along the river
Highlights of the day were morning coffee with Ben and Sarah, a short afternoon walk at Thorpe Meadows, where the trees are just beginning to show some autumn colour (much later than usual) and a video chat with R & K to crystallise ideas for a 'Noticing Nature' project.
This aims to use art and photography to encourage some of the communities in urban Peterborough to engage with the nature around them. We then hope to take all the groups out to experience one of the Langdyke Nature Reserves later next summer.
I'm really enjoying thinking creatively about how we enthuse communities who haven't necessarily previously engaged with nature and wildlife. Initially we've decided to focus on women's groups, in the hope that they will have a positive influence on their sons and daughters.
And Charley's just been offered a job in Peterborough, which is really good news as her previous post involved a long commute which was wearing her down.
