Cloud effects

Catania in Sicily is being hammered by extraordinary rain and wind by a stationary Mediterranean low pressure system. Three dead and worse forecast for Friday with 3 metre high waves. This is the edge of a trough linked to the system at 7.04 this morning.

I worked outside through the day. Hard to see in the extra but the clouds were cascading down the Appenine divide- like a slow motion avalanche.
