Marsh harrier

I went to Vale Pond this afternoon to try to catch a glimpse of the kingfisher who lives there. After about 5 minutes, I did catch a flash of blue over the far side of the pond. Sadly that was the only time I saw it. I did manage to snap this bird though. My dad tells me it’s a marsh harrier. I had to crop the photo heavily, but I’m still pretty pleased with it.
