Through the eye of a child...
Backblipped 26.10.21
David got back from his golf trip yesterday evening tired but happy.
No time to rest though as it was an early rise for us to get the final preparations completed in time for S, L and the girls arriving in the afternoon.
They arrived just after 5pm, full of joy, energy and many many decibels! Well the girls did! lol
So lovely to see them again and feel those little arms round my neck giving the best cuddles. The best laugh was I had completely forgotten S had asked if they could bring their little dog Lily (the cutest little Shih Tzu) so when she came running in Lola thought all her Christmasses had come at once :-))
We wondered how they would get on but we needed have worried. A few sniffs and a bark and they ran off together chasing a real ball and each other. So cute!
Anna and Faith had brought gifts of drawings they had made for us. Faith had drawn a couple of zombies (she's a little obsessed with zombies!) and Anna brought a drawing of "our house" - an internal view - and it astounded us with its accuracy. Glitter ball is ther :-) It also made us laugh so much, especially the wine glasses on the counter top! lol!
Hearty beef in red wine and David's creamy mash potato was a welcome dinner on a cold, dark night. Lovely to catch up and have Anna and Faith (aka The Foghorn :-) entertain us again :-))
