Vincent Price's Cucumber Croc

Possibly one of most 'nuts' nights I've had out for a while.

During lockdown I was contacted by Jenny Hammerton from Silver Screen Suppers.

She was looking for cooks to road test some recipes written by Hollywood stars for a book she was  writing with Peter Fuller. It was the book launch tonight for 'Supper with the Stars' at the Phoenix Arts Club.

It was a wonderful old Soho night out with a clip show of old movies featuring Vincent Price and food, a wonderful Zoom call from his daughter Victoria, plus Jenny demonstrating the cucumber recipe live on stage.

Highlight for me was the showing of two cooking shows Vincent made in  the '70's for the UK market. He was much better than Fanny Cradock, more entertaining and furthermore made the whole 25 minutes programme in one take. Pure class!
